What do you mean by Enterprise Data Warehousing?
When the organizational data is created at a single point of access it is called as enterprise data warehousing. Data can be provided with a global view to the server via a single source store. One can do periodic analysis on that same source. It gives better results but however the time required is high.
What is the difference between a database, a data warehouse and a data mart?
Database includes a set of sensibly affiliated data which is normally small in size as compared to data warehouse. While in data warehouse there are assortments of all sorts of data which is taken out only according to the customer’s needs. On the other hand data mart is also a dataset which is designed to cater to the needs of different domains.
How are indexes created after completing the load process?
For the purpose of creating indexes after the load process, command tasks at session level can be used. Index creating scripts can be brought in line with the session’s workflow or the post session implementation sequence. Moreover this type of index creation cannot be controlled after the load process at transformation level.
How many numbers of sessions can one group in batches?
One can group can have any number of sessions but it would be easier for migration if the number of sessions is lesser in a batch.
Briefly describe lookup transformation?
Lookup transformations are those transformations which have admission right to RDBMS based data set. The server makes the access faster by using the lookup tables to locate explicit table data or the database. Concluding data is achieved by matching the look up condition for all look up ports delivered during transformations.

Certifications 

How to become a Certified Informatica Professional?

Candidates are required to clear the sets of exams offered by Informatica to become an Informatica Certified Professional (ICP). To appear for the exams you need to create your Exam-taker Account at first. To do this you can visit the page www.webassessor.com/informatica. Once you create your account you can select the exams you want to take and set the date and time for the same.

  • Fees:

Informatica provides three units for each specialist exam. Each unit costs $80 that is $240 for each specialist exam consists of 3 units.

  • Exam Paper:

ICP Exam has multiple choice questions or true-false questions sets. There will be 70 numbers of questions to answer in total 90 minutes and the passing marks will 70%.

One can reschedule or cancel the exam at any point of time through the Informatica Account. After successfully completion of the Informatica Specialist Exam, one can receive the Globally Approved Certificates.

Certification from E-Learning Line:

E-Learning Line provides a “course completion certificate” to all the attendees. One needs to follow few procedures before getting it from E-Learning Line.

Firstly after completion of the classroom lectures, candidates will have to solve a bunch of questions and quiz sets provided by E-Learning Line. After submitting the question sets, different projects will be allotted to the attendees. The last step will be the submission and revision of the project.

Once you are done with all the questions sets, projects and quizzes, you are eligible for the certificate. The candidates will be given a certificate and grading on the basis of their performance throughout the course.
